What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is an ancient form of traditional Chinese medicine that uses fine filiform sterile single-use disposable needles to activate specific points on the body, with the aim of relieving pain, a wide variety of disease processes, releasing deep stress from the body, and attaining an optimal level of health and wellness for the mind, body and spirit.

What is Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture?

Give your skin a lift...Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture improves overall skin and muscle tone, while enhancing and increasing the elasticity of the skin. Acupuncture can reduce signs of aging by strengthening and stimulating the circulation of Qi (pronounced “chee”) within the meridian pathways, especially those in the face. You will look and feel more energetic, calmer, more vibrant and healthier. This amazing treatment supports your overall health with a focus on revitalizing the face.

Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture provides a safe, natural, drug-free alternative to Botox or plastic surgery, and address underlying imbalances that may contribute to the aging process. These treatments involve both body acupuncture and facial acupuncture in a holistic approach to looking younger and fresher, without the invasiveness and potential danger accompanying surgery.

The benefits of Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture may include:

  • Improved muscle tone and skin firmness
  • Increased collagen production
  • Reduction of bags under the eyes
  • Reduction of sagging and jowls on jawline
  • Decreased puffiness around the face
  • Elimination of fine lines on the face
  • Reduction of deeper wrinkles
  • Hormonal balancing for skin tissue
  • Balanced hydration of the skin via increased circulation to the face
  • Improvement of facial skin tone
  • Tightening of the pores
  • Lifting of droopy upper eyelids
  • Reduction of age spots
  • Reduction of stress lines on the face
  • Overall improvement of vitality

Why does skin sag?

According to Chinese medicine wrinkles begin internally from a weakness and imbalance of Qi (pronounced “chee”). Qi circulates throughout the body in a series of pathways called meridians, and each of these meridians are represented on the face. Flowing through these meridians Qi provides nourishment, support and energy to every cell, tissue, muscle and organ. As we get older it becomes more difficult for Qi to flow upwards to “lift” the face. This leads to inadequate muscle tone, and over time can contribute to wrinkles and sagging skin. A variety of factors can contribute to this: poor diet, digestion and circulation, or emotional and environmental stresses.
